STS-12
The mission was to have followed the well-known MMU test flight shuttle mission (STS-41-B or STS-11). The crew, which was Commander Henry Hartsfield, Pilot Michael Coats, and Mission Specialists: Mike Mullane, Judith Resnik, and Steve Hawley, were selected for a March 1984 liftoff. The mission was to have lofted the TDRS-B/2 satellite atop an IUS booster stage . However, problems with the IUS cancelled the mission and the crew, including Payload Specialist Charlie Walker, transferred to mission 41-D.
